Charges pending re fatal car wreck
When a car crash occurs, it can devastate a person’s life, or their family’s lives if the wreck proves to be fatal. This is likely the case in a recent car crash here in Georgia that left one man dead and authorities with countless questions as to what exactly happened.
The Georgia State Patrol says that the crash happened early on a recent morning. A man was driving his vehicle south and allegedly rear-ended another vehicle that was traveling in the same direction. Authorities say that the impact caused the second car to hit a tree in a parking lot. The driver did not survive the incident.
Police took the 24-year-old driver of the first car into custody. He has not yet been charged with a crime, but that may change once all the evidence has been examined. The identity of the woman in the second car has been released, but no additional details about her are known at this time.
When a tragedy like this one occurs, it can leave a family struggling as they try to understand. They may even be left with a financial burden in addition to their emotional pain, particularly if they relied on their loved one’s income, or have to cover unexpected medical or funeral costs. Anyone here in Georgia who has lost a loved one in a car wreck can decide to pursue a civil claim against any parties deemed responsible for the crash. This is the case even if criminal charges are filed in relation to the incident. Doing so may provide some financial relief for a grieving family and make their healing process just a bit easier.
